Ingredients
½ pound ground pork (can substitute turkey or chicken)
½ pound shrimp, chopped fine
½ cup finely chopped water chestnuts
½ cup finely chopped green onions
1 tablespoon shoyu
1 egg
Salt and pepper to taste
Sweet Sour Sauce
2 cups water
½ cup catsup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
4 tablespoons sugar
2 to 4 tablespoons Kimo’s ONO Grindz Chili Pepper Water (Any Flavor)
3 tablespoons cornstarch
Preparation
Lumpia
Blend egg and combine with the rest of the ingredients.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Place a heaping tablespoon of the filling or enough to make a ¾-inch thick diameter on one whole lumpia wrapper.
Seal with a few drops of water or cornstarch paste. Deep fry.
Sweet Sour Sauce
Mix ingredients and cook over low heat until thickened.
Serve with the lumpia.
