Ingredients

  • ½ pound ground pork (can substitute turkey or chicken)

  • ½ pound shrimp, chopped fine

  • ½ cup finely chopped water chestnuts

  • ½ cup finely chopped green onions

  • 1 tablespoon shoyu

  • 1 egg

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Sweet Sour Sauce

  • 2 cups water

  • ½ cup catsup

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 4 tablespoons sugar

  • 2 to 4 tablespoons Kimo’s ONO Grindz Chili Pepper Water (Any Flavor)

  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch


Preparation

Lumpia

  1. Blend egg and combine with the rest of the ingredients.

  2. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Place a heaping tablespoon of the filling or enough to make a ¾-inch thick diameter on one whole lumpia wrapper.

  4. Seal with a few drops of water or cornstarch paste. Deep fry.


Sweet Sour Sauce

  1. Mix ingredients and cook over low heat until thickened.

  2. Serve with the lumpia.

  3. Makes 3 dozen whole lumpia
